The invention discloses a data collection unit of a battery management system, which can be suitable for multiple battery packs and multiple batteries and is capable of increasing the universality of the data management system. The data collection unit comprises a main board CCU (Central Control Unit), slave main boards DCU-M and slave main boards DCU-S, wherein the main board CCU and the slave main boards DCU-M are in communication connection by adopting a CAN (Controlled Area Network); the slave main boards DCU-M and the slave main boards DCU-S are connected by adopting an isoSPI (Serial Peripheral Interface). According to the data collection unit of the battery management system, disclosed by the invention, the arranged slave main boards DCU-M and the slave main boards DCU-S can be matched with multiple battery groups and the multiple batteries, good universality is obtained, the integral design is reasonable, and good firmness and reliability during a using process are obtained.
