The invention relates to an anti-skid stud (5) comprising a stud body (53) with a bottom flange (51) arranged to be placed in the bottom area of a stud hole (3) of a vehicle tyre (1), and a stem part (52) extending from the bottom flange, as well as a stud tip (54) fastened to the stud body. The stud tip (54) comprises a zone (55) in the longitudinal direction of the stud tip, whose cross-sectional shape is a variant of an angular polygon, symmetrical with respect to its mass centre, so that the distance from at least one vertex to the mass centre of the symmetrical polygon used as a starting point is greater than the distance from one or more other vertices.
