The invention relates to a wheel bearing for aircraft, said bearing having a long service life, being very reliable and consisting of the lowest possible number of individual parts. The wheel bearing of an aircraft engine according to the invention (1) has a rim (2) that is rotatably mounted about an axis (29) by means of a bearing arrangement (10) comprising two rolling bearings (13, 14). An outer bearing housing (28), designed as one piece, contains the outer running surfaces (26, 27) of the rolling bearings (13, 14). An integral component (30) of the outer bearing housing (28) forms part (4) of the rim (2) and the outer bearing housing (28) is detachably connected to the remainder of the rim (3, 5).
