Abstract The utility model presents a device for crowd handling during subway peak hours, comprising a baseplate with primary and secondary column components assembled on the left and right. Both column components are comprised of main control chips, columns, front and lateral barriers, drive mechanisms and sensors. The built-in drive mechanism is designed to open or retract the front and lateral barriers, with column bottom and front & lateral barriers hinged to baseplate and upper part of column respectively. Front barriers of primary and secondary column components are tightly arranged, parallel to the plane where metro gates are located; while lateral barriers are arranged on the column near the side of metro gates. The utility model is designed to guide passenger flow during the subway peak hours and can be quickly folded and retracted if not in use. Fig. 1 Fig. 2
