The tread pattern of this pneumatic tire which improves wear resistance of a tread central region while improving traction performance is provided with: shoulder lug grooves (10) which are open at a ground-contact end; central lug grooves (14); a pair of circumferential main grooves (12) which are bent into wave shapes, are connected with the shoulder lug grooves at sections thereof bent outwards in the tire width direction, are connected with the central lug grooves at sections thereof bent inwards in the tire width direction, and have a narrower groove width than the shoulder lug grooves; and central blocks (16) which are demarcated by the central lug grooves and the circumferential main grooves. The circumferential main grooves are provided at both sides in the tire width direction, within regions separated from a central line by a distance of 30-60% of half of the tread width (T). The ratio of the amplitude (c) of the bends in the circumferential main grooves to the tread width (T) is 0.05-0.15. The ratio of the groove width (P3) of the central lug grooves to the maximum length (LB) of the central blocks in the tire circumferential direction is 0.03-0.07.
