OF interest to aircraft constructors in general and to aeronautical engineers in particular is the new automatic process for high-speed welding of stainless steel components without affecting the rust-resisting properties of the welded surfaces. The process has been applied, with marked success, to the welding of hull components, main beams, ribs, spars, brackets, fairings and fittings.
