Koningin Elisabeth and Reine Astrid, of Belgian State Line (Ostend-Dover), were equipped with torsionmeters, thrustmeters, Chernikeeff log, roll and pitch recorders, anemometer and windvane; Koningin Elisabeth, which passes between banks of Flanders, was fitted with echo sounder and effect of shallow water on ship's resistance was established; model correlation with ship measured mile trial in newly built condition is included.
