Fifth vessel of same name, which is specially designed and constructed for recovery and overboarding of new coaxial type telephone cables with submerged repeaters inserted, was built by Cammell Laird and Co (Shipbuilders and Engineers) Ltd to order of Cable and Wireless Ltd; length oa 367 ft, breadth molded 47 ft 6 in., summer draft 19 ft, deadweight 2750 tons; propulsion machinery is designed to give total ahead power of 3300 shp at not more than 144 rpm, and astern power of 80%; plan.
