In study of landing and takeoff problems of current designs and need for improved highlift devices, investigation was made at R 0.9×106 to determine longitudinal aerodynamic characteristics of flap; maximum lift coefficient of 2.2 was obtained with double slotted flap in conjunction with leading edge slat.
