Test requirements placed upon engine test facilities by aircraft and missile propulsion systems; exhaust system performance is shown to be limiting factor in most ground test facilities; various simple methods of augmenting exhaust system performance sufficiently to meet stringent requirements in use at Arnold Engineering Development Center of Air Research and Development Command are shown and test results given.
