Investigation of hydrofoil craft in speed range of 50 to 200 knots, displacements from 100 to 3000 tons, and ranges from 400 to 3600 nautical mi; parametric study was made to determine effect of individual system characteristics on hydrofoil craft performance; these included foil section, arrangement of foils and appendages, weights, power plants and propulsive devices, hull design, and auto pilot systems.
