May 5: In intermediate truck-repair section of shops repaired trucks are substituted immediately for those removed so that cars are not withheld from service; facilities and methods used make it possible to carry on truck-repair work continuously and to organize shop forces along most effective lines; track over which cars come in has electric drop-pit table; attention given to labor-saving tools so that many of operations may be performed by single man.
