Road depreciation of gasolines of varying sensitivity but similar research octane level, determined in variety of cars; depreciation is greater for more sensitive fuels, particularly at high engine speeds; to utilize tomorrow's octanes effectively, designers of future automotive engines must recognize trend toward more sensitive fuels.
