Method for calculating surface deflection of existing flexible pavement under loaded rigid bearing plate; permissible surface deflection for any specified traffic volume of given design wheel load and tire inflation pressure must be varied with strength of underlying subgrade when measured by means of rigid bearing plate carrying same total load and unit pressure.
