Study is made of performance of various communications systems with view to determining their suitability for use in upper atmosphere rocket telemetry; theoretical comparison of communications efficiency is modified to take into account limitations of real components; comparison is then carried stage further by considering actual hardware problems of size, weight, complexity, and relative cost.
