Use of photography in obtaining data from U S Air Force Missile Development Center High Speed Test Track; sled testing along 35,000 ft of rail track provides environmental testing of missiles, components, and space flight hardware; velocities up to 4600 fps are normal and 6000 fps is planned; latest additions are Ballistic Synchro, Image Motion Compensation (IMC), Photo-Autocollimator, and Shadowgraph cameras; ribbon frame cameras give metric coverage for entire length of track; cameras of other types are also used; procedure is explained.
