Requirements laid down in 1903 have been fulfilled in past 60 yr; they were for depth of water sufficient to admit largest trading vessels, facilities for discharging and handling cargoes in most rapid and economical manner, and for repair and equipment of all classes of vessels; with additional berths and more equipment available today Dublin stands as excellent up-to-date port comparable with any port of its size and type in world.
