Use of various control inputs to govern lift variations is considered; rate of climb and acceleration inputs are shown to stabilize trajectory and determine entry corridor depth; range inputs are shown to be destabilizing such that low values of range input gain must be used at supercircular velocities; dynamics in entry are illustrated by linearized form of motion equations; usable corridor depth and range capability are demonstrated for lifting capsule (lift/drag=0.5).
