New bridge at Hamerten near Stendal, designed to meet requirements of heaviest locomotives and rolling stock; it is of overhead trussed-girder type and largest span has length of 106 m. while maximum girder system height is 15 m.; all main girders and bracings are made of steel no. 48 of German State Railway Standards of 1924; material has breaking strength of 45 to 48 kilos, per sq. mm.
