Conclusions reached are that, for air line or other operations, where speed of 250 mph is satisfactory, true convertible has little merit over helicopter with small fixed wings; helicopter is used in its proper role as complementary to, and not superseding, fixed wing type of aircraft; for very high speed service duties, driving wing principle would appear to be only one likely to provide practical solution.
