New all welded frame of 8 1/2 ton trolley for ore bridge produced by Dravo corp, Pittsburgh, weighs 36% less than original 5-ton trolley with riveted frame; new bucket holds 123 cu ft as compared with 80 cu ft capacity of old bucket; lighter weight girders employed; weight saving of 47% made possible by welded drums; welding operations described.
