Construction of 16.2 km railroad tunnel on new Sanyo line of Japanese National Railways in Rokko mountains is described; estimation of tunnel water on basis of hydrological investigations is presented; volume of drawing water from tunnel is estimated at 10 cu m/min at east end, 15 cu m/min at west during construction, and at 12 to 14 cu m/min as stationary yield.
