As means of increasing track capacity and expediting train movements, Louisville and Nashville Railroad has installed centralized traffic control on 92 mi of single track mainline between Brentwood, Tenn, and North Athens, Ala; character of line; signaling equipment; coding system used; time locking spacing of intermediates; series fouling at turnouts; coded track circuits; 2-wire local line circuit; etc. (see also Ry Signaling v 35 n 8 Aug 1942 p 420-9)
