Particulars of four 7-car trains built by American Car and Foundry Co, with many refinements in design and appointments, including electropneumatic brakes with Decelostat and speed-governor control; fluorescent lighting used extensively; by use of aluminum alloys, shell weights of cars were reduced approximately 34% under equivalent cars of conventional steel construction; weights and dimensions of cars given.
