Truva was built by Chantiers Dubigeon-Normandie of Nantes for Denizcilik Bankasi TAO (Turkish Maritime Bank of Istanbul), and is for service from Venice to Brindisi and Izmir (Smyrna) in Asia Minor, with possible calls at Patras and Piraeus; length oa 299 ft 11 in., molded breadth 54 ft 2 in., depth to promenade deck 20 ft 4 in., gross register 2600 tons, dw 500 tons, passenger capacity 584 and cars 100; propulsion is by four 8-cyl MWM engines of 2200 bhp each at 500 rpm.
