Apr 15 n 8 p 87-90: Three groups of laws must be considered in designing transportation system, namely, laws of physics, those governing human physiologic response, and psychosociological laws controlling human behavior; severe accidents and major aspects involved relative to human impairment, inadequate packaging, and accident location. May 15 n 10 p 92-4: Interaction of factors in accident occurrence; about 25% of all drivers, including people with medical conditions, alcoholism, and problems associated with aging, have relative impairment to performing driving tasks; five classes of countermeasures to reduce accidents are proposed and discussed.
