Measures taken by Ford Motor Co Ltd to meet requirements of new safety regulations expected to become law on Jan 1 1968; summary of changes and modifications carried out to conform with new proposals; all articulated vehicles, types D600, 700 and 800, now have air/hydraulic dual-line systems, whereas previously Airpak system was standard on only diesel versions; air-assisted emergency braking line is incorporated in new dual-line system; line is actuated by lever mounted on floor to left of driver's seat; multi-pull mechanical handbrake has been replaced by single-pull power-assisted handbrake effective on driving axle of tractor.
