Antares, 1123 ton dw "paragraph" vessel, designed to come within 500 gross ton rules, built by Schlichting Werft, Luebeck-Travemunde, for Argo Reederei Richard Adler und Sohne; sistership, Arcturus, was built by Buesumer Werft, subsidiary of Schlichting Werft; ships were developed in cooperation with Argo Reederei and are now operating roll-on, roll-off service between Bremen, Hamburg and Hull in joint service with Associated Humber Lines Ltd; length oa 76.42 m, extreme breadth molded 13 m, depth to shelterdeck 9.92 m, summer draft 4.22 m, dw 1123 tons, gross register 499.87 tons, grain capacity 5170 cu m and bale 4830 cu m; MAN engine of 2200 is fitted.
