Series of three 2300 dw ton ships, of which first two are Gdansk and Gdynia, will be built at Gdansk Shipyard for Gerner Mathisen Rederi A/S; they are designed for carriage of timber and bulk cargoes as well as general cargo; length oa 242 ft 8 5/8 in., breadth molded 42 ft 7 3/4 in., depth to main deck 19 ft 4 1/4 in., summer draft 16 ft 4 7/8 in., block coefficient 0.70, grain capacity 105,000 cu ft and bale 97,100 cu ft; MAK type 8 M 452 diesel engine has nominal output of 1600 bhp at 375 rpm; plan.
