Describes channel steel construction system for ships, developed by Channel Steel Barge Co., Inc., Rome, N. Y., principal feature of which is that outer skin of vessel is made entirely of standard steel channels which run lengthwise of hull with flanges turned upward. Particularly adapted for inland waterway vessels of any type and small steamers or motorships operating on Great Lakes and coast.
