Illustrated description of 2-cycle type built by American Locomotive Co from basic designs obtained from Sulzer Bros in Switzerland; one standard cylinder size is used, being 14 in. by 23 1/2 in., and line includes units of 4, 5, 6, and 8 cylinders; at standard brake mep of 71 lb and speed of 277 rpm, these combinations give engines of 720, 900, 1080 and 1440 hp, respectively.
