Diesel electric locomotive, built by American Locomotive Co and General Electric Co designed for freight, mixed train and yard service and is suitable for use on lines having light roadbed with track and bridge limitations; weights and dimensions given; power plant consists of single, heavy duty, 4-cycle, 6-cyl turbo-charged Cooper-Bessemer Diesel engine developing 660 hp at 1000 rpm, and one direct connected General Electric generator.
