How self powered radio controlled ship models, special control center and water tank, scaled 75 to 1, train naval personnel in art of ship handling; ship characteristics such as response to helm, engine telegraph, acceleration and deceleration have time lags similar to full scale ships; device also simulates wind and water currents; control is proportional, utilizing three audio channels modulating single carrier frequency in 30 to 42 Mc band.
