Study done for Defence Research Board, involving preliminary design and analysis of five VTOL configurations to satisfy assumed military logistic supply requirement: slipstream deflection, tilting wing, tilting ducted propellers, jet lift turboprop, and turbojet propulsive wing; it is concluded that slipstream deflection and especially tilting wing types offer promise relative to requirements of assumed mission and corresponding civil applications.
