Design philosophy applied to US Air Force tilt wing research transport, which is powered by two Allison T-40 turboprop engines having dual rotating Curtis-Wright 6-bladed turboelectric propellers; basic principle in design is that aircraft can be operated as fixed wing aircraft, STOL and VTOL aircraft, depending on number of feet of runway space to be used.
