Construction of 500 mi, 24 in., gas line from Pemex, Tabasco, to Mexico City involved crossing of swamps, lagoons, flooding rivers, rocky terrain, and mountainous country; all main line pipe is API Grade X-52, 0.344 wall thickness electric weld; line is designed to carry 220 MMcf of gas daily without need of compressor station; stations will increase daily capacity to 300 MMcf.
