Car has overall length of 89 ft over strikers and maximum weight, when loaded, of 440,000 lb; tank is "double bubble" through its center section and is designed to carry shipments of 200, 000 lb of LPG under pressure or 241,000 lb of anhydrous ammonia; each end of car is mounted on pair of 70 ton 4-wheel roller bearing trucks, over which is span bolster on which body bolster rests and which also carries draft gear and coupler.
