Vibrational ride environment consists of all motion inputs to passenger; if each input is properly related to human discomfort, their combined values will produce overall ride sensation index; paper presents methods for analyzing and evaluating vibration measurements in on-the-road environment; total comfort index is broken down into contributions of each input and each frequency component of that input; thus, vehicular elements that are most detrimental to ride can be pinpointed and improved.
