Lautaro is 4-master of 3185 gross tons, and was formerly German ship Priwall, built in 1919; propelled by two 600-hp direct reversible Atlas Imperial Diesel engines, with 15-in. bore by 19-in. stroke; engines are especially equipped with Twin-Disc sailing clutches, operated through simple ram with air valve control.
