It is assumed that flow is unidimensional; specific heats of gas are same before and after combustion; flow is adiabatic before combustion and that in sections of air inlet where there are no shock waves flow is isentropic; three main methods of measuring thrust; strain-gage method, thermodynamic method and aerodynamic method; charts giving results obtained in actual flight. In French with English translation of principal parts.
