Feasibility of single point buoy mooring arrangement; forces on anchor chains and cables of ship model were measured in several wave configurations and wind conditions, comprising wave lengths from 250 ft up to 1300 ft, wave heights from 6 ft up to 15 ft, and wind speeds up to 40 knots; it was concluded worthwhile to manufacture prototype for further study. From report of Netherlands Ship Model Basin.
