Government owned and industry operated plant for research work in Adrian, Mich, will have 14 hydraulic extrusion presses, ranging from 1650 tons to 5500 tons capacity and heavy vertical German forging presses of 15,000, 7000, 2000 and 600 tons; 50,000-ton vertical closed die forging press and 20,000-ton horizontal extrusion press will also be installed; importance of use of forgings in aircraft.
