Westinghouse 3 cm radar equipment installed in lumber carrying motor ship, C-Coaster; formerly standard Landing Ship Medium (LSM) powered by 3600 hp Diesel, vessel was converted into new type of lumber carrier; shallow draft, less than 10 ft, enables ship to go through any waterways of coast; lumber loaded and unloaded with shore side or floating cranes in "package operation"; capacity is 525,000 board ft of rough lumber or 650,000 ft of surfaced lumber.
