On 75 mi of heavy traffic 2-track territory between West Chicago, Ill, and Nelson, Chicago North Western has installed centralized traffic control; short sections of territory have more than two tracks; also, project includes 11 mi of separate single track cut off; total of 86 road mi and 169 track mi of main track are included in project.
