As result of study, Pa. R. R. system has become convinced that motor truck can cooperate with steam railroad in three lines of activity: (1) in substituting motor trucks for rail transportation for handling short-haul less-than-carload traffic, (2) in motorizing terminals and (3) in door-to-door delivery service; advantages of motor truck in handling short-haul less-than-carload traffic; conclusions drawn.
