Victory ship, designed by U S Maritime Commission, is full scantling type cargo vessel, arranged for carrying general cargo in five holds; it has straight raked stem and cruiser stern; length oa 455 ft 3 in.; beam molded 62 ft; depth molded to main deck 38 ft; propulsion is by single screw, driven by cross compound, double reduction geared turbine unit, supplied with steam from two cross drum, single pass, sectional header oil fired boilers.
