New single-acting Scott engine based on latest Scott-Still design being installed in single-screw motorship building by Scotts' Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., is of port scavenging type operating with certain amount of supercharging; three after cylinders exhaust to atmosphere via Alexander silencer; three forward cylinders exhaust through Cochran vertical boiler.
