Type 14OA locomotives of Paris, Lyon and Mediterranean Railway with superheated steam of 14 kg. per sq. cm. at 225 deg., put into service in 1925, had given inefficient performance; after tests, temperature was raised to 350 deg., which has given satisfactory results and has been applied to other types.
