Harland and Wolff have completed motorship for intermediate and East Coast services of Union-Castle Mail Steamship Co.; length 485 ft.; gross tonnage, 11,951 tons; ship is divided into nine water-tight compartments, and double bottom, extending whole length of ship, is arranged to carry water ballast, oil fuel, and fresh water; propelling machinery consists of two sets of single-acting four-stroke Diesel engines of Harland-B and W type.
