In "Megara" there are two 6-cylinder Werkspoor engines with diameter of 670 mm. and stroke of 1200 mm., output being rated at 4600 b.hp., giving ship speed, when fully loaded, of 13 1/4 knots; deadweight capacity of 10,750 tons; length of 420 ft., beam of 65 ft. and depth of 33 ft.; draft when fully loaded 25 ft. 9 in.; by increased power and speed due to supercharging she is equivalent to vessel of 13,000 tons; brief description of supercharging system employed.
